On Saturday night, George’s Majestic Lounge celebrated its namesakes 79 birthday as four members of Leftover Salmon took the stage together. Vince Herman, who opened with a solo set later joined fellow Leftover Salmon co-founder Drew Emmitt and his band. Emmitts current group includes former Leftover bass player Greg Garrison as well as longtime LoS drummer Jeff Sipe, so that the performance certainly had the feel of a reunion (Emmitt himself made a comment to this end when Herman first emerged to join his group). All in all, the Fayetteville, Arkansas venue celebrated the day in high style, also offering music from Col. Bruce Hampton & the Codetalkers, Dark Star Orchestra and Martin Fierro.
