As Dead & Company’s Final Tour dates inch closer, Midnight North and Sam Grisman Project have come together to announce a pair of after-parties slated to occur at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on July 15 and 16. During the upcoming shows, the two groups will share a bill, each offering an extended set of music.

The newly announced gigs will arrive after Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Oteil Burbridge, John Mayer, and Jeff Chimenti’s final concerts at Oracle Park on the aforementioned dates, which doubles as their last appearances as a touring ensemble, stemming from an early-October 2022 announcement.

The artist lineup for the after-shows represents an exciting grouping of musicians with deep Grateful Dead ties. Grahame Lesh of Midnight North is the son of original member and celebrated bassist Phil Lesh. While Sam Grisman’s father, David Grisman, frequently collaborated with Jerry Garcia on bluegrass projects, showing off his masterful skills on the mandolin.
