When he’s not creating music as Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor spends his days as an award-winning composer alongside longtime creative partner Atticus Ross.
The duo’s most recent project is the scoring of HBO’s Watchmen series, which reimagines Alan Moore’s classic graphic novel through the lens of creator Damon Lindelof.
In a recent episode, the duo took a page out of the David Bowie songbook to create a haunting, instrumental version of “Life on Mars.”
Before the rock legend’s passing, Bowie and Reznor had a long creative partnership, performing together in the mid-’90s on the “Outside Tour” and releasing the single “I’m Afraid of Americans.”
