Following a politically-charged Friday night show, moe. continued their run at Portland, Maine’s State Theatre on Saturday night bookending their entire first set with “Moth” and playing two more new originals.

After opening with a nice “Moth”> “Hi & Lo”> “Puebla” segment, the band offered up a rocking “Okayalright,” (featuring bassist Rob Derhak’s daughter Emma on vocals) before trying out their new tune “Dangerous Game.” As noted in the band’s setlist, “Dangerous Game” is a new Al Schnier tune.

From there, he band kept the jams coming and ended the first half with “Shoot First”> “Don’t Wanna Be” and, finally, a segue back into “Moth.”

Set two kicked off with another lengthy jam: “The Road”> “Head”> “Montego”> “Head”> “The Road.” After a stand-alone “Where Does The Time Go?,” moe. played their second debut of the evening, an instrumental dubbed “Jazz Cig.” Set two closed with a pairing of “Four”> “McBain” and the band encored with a unifying “Wind It Up,” off their 2007 LP The Conch.
