The Keller Williams Incident & The Rhythm Devils To Return at Vegoose

As reported earlier today, the initial Vegoose line-up has been confirmed. Fresh off their recent performance at the 10,000 Lakes Festival, Keller Williams will rejoin the String Cheese Incident for a one-off performance. In addition Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will re-enlist Mike Gordon and Steve Kimock for a set of music from The Rhythm Devils. Other artists slated to appear include: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Widespread Panic, The Mars Volta, The Black Crowes, Medeski Martin & Wood, Galactic, Praxis, Yonder Mountain String Band, Gomez, Built To Spill, Guster and My Morning Jackets Jim James. These performances will take place at the Sam Boyd Stadium on October 28 and 29, with a number of associated late-night shows set to occur around Las Vegas.

Tea Leaf Green: Acoustic and Electric

Tea Leaf Green, which is currently in the midst of an east coast run following an appearance at the Dave Matthews Band Randalls Island event, will return to the area in October as part of its fall tour. The quartet will pick things up on September 29 and 30 with shows in its current home base of San Francisco. On Friday the 29th, TLG will perform an acoustic set at the Great American Music Hall. Then on Saturday the 30th the band will deliver a show in full-on electric mode at the Fillmore. On October 5th the band will begin its fall tour proper with a date at the Canopy Club in Urbana, IL. Te Leaf Green will then route through the Midwest and on into New England, before returning to the Midwest with the final confirmed show on October 22 at the Cabooze in Minneapolis. Tonight Tea Leaf Gren will appear at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, NY.

Stanton Moore Trio To Open Galactic Left Coast Run

Galactic has announced a run of shows from mid to late October. On October 17-28 the band will travel throughout California (save for one show on October 22 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe). The group will then be part of Vegoose on October 29th before flying home for a Halloween gig at Tiptinas. Galactic drummer Stanton Moore will open all of the shows until Vegoose with his Stanton Moore Trio which also features Will Bernard and Brian Coogan. Galactic will begin its final stretch of summer dates on Tuesday, August 15 at The Other Side in Missoula, MT.

Trey Closes Out Petty Tour With Mystic Eyes

Last night at the DTE Energy Music Amphitheatre in Clarkston, MI, Trey Anastasio wrapped up his summer support slot for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. To mark the occasion, Petty invited Anastasio to join him on stage for the lone time on the tour. Anastasio joined in for the groups second of three encore songs, a cover of Van Morrison’s “Mystic Eyes.” The Petty tour will continue over the coming days with the Allman Brothers Band and the Derek Trucks Band sharing opener duties for many of the upcoming shows.
