Widespread Panic have announced a new West Coast tour, packing nine dates in California and Oregon into a two-week sprint from July 10-25. The celebrated Southern jam innovators’ new dates arrive as their first extended multi-city run since their 2026 fall tour, after which the sextet switched to their current emphasis on extended residencies.
Widespread Panic’s West Coast tour will begin immediately after their previously announced double-header at Bonner, Mont.’s Kettlehouse Amphitheater on July 7 and 8, which will be their first engagement in Big Sky Country in ten years. Following this milestone, the band will truck over to Bend, Ore.’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater on July 10 and 11, then pull into the Golden State for a three-night return to Oakland’s Fox Theater from July 16-18. They’ll pull into Sacramento’s Channel 24 on July 21 for their first non-festival standalone headline show since 2021, then wrap the run with three performances at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre from July 23-25.
“Our current touring model started as a way to keep the good vibes alive without having to pack up and leave home for eight to 10 weeks at a time,” John Bell reflected on Widespread Panic’s residency-centric live itineraries in a recent Relix feature. “To maintain that kind of thing, you had to play some in-between gigs. We’ve got favorite cities, venues and restaurants we want to visit and familiar faces we want to see so we decided to do these long weekends. It turns out to be about once a month. It’s a little more relaxing—we’ve been at it for a long time, so this is a way to keep us happy and excited. And that comes through in the way we perform. We’ll revisit some old songs—it’s like going through a storage space and saying, ‘Holy crap, I really like this thing. Let’s go revisit it.’”
Tickets for Widespread Panic’s West Coast tour will go on sale this Friday, March 27, at 12 p.m. PT. Find more information on the band’s complete 2026 live calendar at widespreadpanic.com.
