moe. rolled through New York at the end of last week, performing at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday and Friday and Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on Saturday. The Buffalo-bred sextet are currently in the midst of their Real Men Wear Pink campaign, supporting breast cancer awareness with limited-edition merch, cocktails and moe.ron experience.

On Thursday, the members of moe. nodded to Real Men Wear Pink with some of their on-stage clothing choices and by encoring with a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar.” The following night, the group picked up the theme by running through The Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1;” New York-based bassist Karina Rykman supplied the low end on the tune and remained on stage as guitarist Suke Cerulo emerged for a set-closing take on the moe. classic “Meat.” Cerulo, an old friend of the moe. family known for his work with Schleigho, Conehead Buddha and Lynch, subbed for moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey from late-2021 through early 2023 while he recovered from a stroke. (Garvey’s Giancarlo Tetto also made a guest appearance on guitar during “Captain America” during the first set.)

Then, last night, moe. returned to The Cap. Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton opened the night and joined moe. during their show for a take on Bruce Springsteen’s “Pink Cadillac;” it marked the first the group had covered the song since October 5, 2023.

moe. will perform at Columbus, OH’s The Bluestone on October 16.
