Last night Phish opened their three night run at the United Center in Chicago. The performance found the band shaking up the setlist a bit while also add new textures to familiar songs.

The first set opened with “Harry Hood,” which has appeared in various settings this summer. The group performed it as an encore at the tour opener at SNHU Arena (6/20/25) and again in that slot at Folsom Field (7/5/25). Another first set highlight was “Bathtub Gin,” which extended nearly 16 minutes and included musical quotes from “Entrance of the Gladiators,” “Tequila” and “Dave’s Energy Guide.” This tune then led into a cover of Little Feat’s “On Your Way Down,” which Phish last performed at the Gorge on August 6, 2011.

The second frame began with a four-song segued sequence. The quartet moved from “No Men In No Man’s Land” into “What’s Going Through Your Mind,” then “Crosseyed and Painless” and “Farmhouse.” The group’s take on “What’s Going Through Your Mind,” which Phish first performed on 8/7/24 with Billy Strings (after Trey Anastasio debuted it in Chicago with TAB on 5/9/24), found the band exploring the song for 28 minutes. The set then concluded with a three song segment that included “Light,” “Backwards Down the Number Line” and “Cavern.” For the encore, Phish paired “The Horse” with “Silent in the Morning,” followed by “46 Days.”

The group will return to the United Center this evening. Find tickets and more information here.
