At long last, Widespread Panic are returning to Boston. From August 21-23, the iconic jam ensemble will touch down in Beantown for a three-night series at MGM Music Hall at Fenway. This will be the band’s first appearance in the city since a standalone date at Blue Hills Band Pavilion–now Leader Bank Pavilion–on June 17, 2015.

This exciting addition to the jam sextet’s 2025 touring calendar will fall after its six previously announced stands; the band is set to appear next for their stint at Nashville, Tenn.’s Ascend Amphitheater from April 24-26, followed by trips to Charleston, S.C.’s Credit One Stadium on May 16 and 17, Chicago’s Chicago Theater from June 4-6, Morrison, Colo.’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre from June 27-29 and Asheville, N.C.’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena on July 25 and 26, which will make good on a booking for the same weekend in 2024 that was cancelled as guitarist Jimmy Herring sought treatment for tonsil cancer. As the group was also originally slated to perform in Boston on Aug. 22-24 of last year, it seems they’re making up for lost time.

On Feb. 15 and 16, Widespread Panic made their highly-anticipated return to the stage with a double-header at Atlantic City, N.J.’s Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. The group’s first performances since their temporary 2024 touring hiatus went above and beyond high expectations with sit-ins from Jason Crosby and John Keane. Read more about those performances here. The band built on this momentum with a return to St. Augustine, Fla. for its annual series at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, which upped the ante with some exciting bust-outs and themes.

Tickets for Widespread Panic’s return to Boston will go on sale this Friday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. For more information on the band’s 2025 touring itinerary, visit widespreadpanic.com.
