At 8 p.m., E.T. Gregory McLoughlin will celebrate the 250th episode of his TGIM Broadcast on YouTube. The milestone occasion aligns with the release of the musician’s new single “Indian Summer” and more new material to come.
The Relix featured artist provided context on the pivotal moment. McLaughlin says, “When I agreed to try doing a livestream on the Busking Down the House Facebook Group at the start of the pandemic, I didn’t expect more than a handful of friends to tune in, and I did not expect it to amount to anything. But deciding to make it a once-a-week thing, it turned into the ultimate creative fuel I could have as a songwriter.”
Taking stock of the achievement, McLoughlin adds, “Here we are, five years and 250 episodes later, my audience continues to grow and evolve… but most importantly this medium has helped me grow as an artist.”
As a sonic bonus, the artist released his 17th single, “Indian Summer,” which showcases his jamband roots and Wetland association with seven minutes of improvisation. “Indian Summer has been a fan favorite for years, and it is finally getting a proper release. I think that we captured the optimistic spirit and live energy of the song nicely in the studio, and the cover photograph could not fit more beautifully with the song’s hopeful story,” he says.
McLoughlin alluded to a full length release, “After year of releasing single after single, I have finally decided to record a full length album, and Indian Summer is the last song to be released on it’s own before I finish this huge undertaking. My audience has been asking for an album and I owe it to them. I’m confident it will be worth the wait when I release it. Get excited!”
