Eggy made their way to Portland, ME last night for a show at the State Theatre. On hand was area resident Rob Derhak. The moe. bass player not only checked out the action but he also participated, stepping out at the end of the first set for a version of his tune “Happy Hour Hero.”

This was Eggy’s debut performance of the moe. song, and the weekend featured some additional bust-outs from the group. On Friday night at South Burlington’s Higher Ground, Eggy covered Steve Miller Band’s “Jet Airliner” for the first time since 1/13/17. In addition, the quartet played its own “Tired from Waiting,” which had last appeared on the Halloween 2019 setlist. Last evening also featured Eggy original “Way of the Rain,” previously played on 4/10/14.

Eggy is off the road until opening a Southern run at My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday event in early April. Jumping ahead to August, Eggy will open a series of dates for moe.
