Widespread Panic have announced their highly anticipated return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., for three consecutive nights, June 27, 28, and 29. The band’s Centennial State visit prompts the continuation of their ever-expanding live schedule and the first time since Jimmy Herring’s stage 1 tonsil cancer diagnosis that they will perform in two locations within the span of a single month.
With Chicago and Morrison, Colo. dates on the calendar, the band will isolate select two and three-night concert runs each month leading up to June, including March 21-23, at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Fla. From April 24 through 26, Widespread Panic will perform nightly on Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre stage, followed by their May 16-17 arrival at Credit One Stadium (Daniel Island), in Charleston, S.C.
During Widespread Panic’s Atlantic City stand, the band welcomed accompaniment from multi-instrumentalist and improvisational heavy-weight Jason Crosby on select numbers, in addition to Athens, Ga. record producer known for his work with Widespread, and fellow local favorites, R.E.M.
Widespread Panic’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre tradition continues in June. For tickets and more information, visit the band’s official website. General on-sale begins Friday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. M.T.
