Today, Jan. 31, 2025, Johnny Stachela, guitarist and singer-songwriter best known as a charter member of The Allman Betts Band, and Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel, issues his latest single, “All Because of You.”

The track, now available on all streaming platforms, will be the first in a series- over the coming months- culminating with the release of a four-song EP, The Stroll. Recorded in collaboration with JD Simo, at Simo’s Nashville-based House of Grease studio, Stachela leads a quartet of seasoned vets through the blues-soaked number, rooted with a strong, shuffling backbeat popularized by the American music of the 1950s.

According to Stachela, “All Because of You” aspires as a perfect companion to the side-by-side dance steps of the stroll, once namechecked in Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.” Led by a jaunty, forever addicting opening guitar hook, it’s a breezy, neo-retro nod to Texas blues, underpinned by Stachela’s lonesome howl and unmistakable six-string response. “I imagined this, in some ways, as an ode to a romance dance in an old post-and-beam hall, with sawdust on the floor, somewhere just outside San Antonio,” says Stachela. “I’m thrilled to be able to share this musical snapshot with everyone. And, more to come.”
