Today, Jan. 28, Billy Strings has unveiled plans to take his touring to a new frontier with his first-ever tour of Australia and New Zealand. After presenting his first European tour in 2022, the bluegrass pathbreaker will forge ahead to Oceania, delivering a total of four shows Down Under from July 15 to 22 as part of the new Winter Tour.

Strings will set off his exciting new series with a stand at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia on July 15. The bluegrass dynamo and his trusty backing quartet will shake a leg on to Sydney’s ICC Sydney Theatre on July 17, then wrap the Australian leg with an engagement at Brisbane’s Riverstage on July 19. Finally, Strings’ Winter Tour on the far side of the world will culminate in a last show on July 22 at Auckland, New Zealand’s Spark Arena, the largest venue that will host Strings abroad with an audience capacity of 12,000.

A lot of road lies between Strings and his summer departure. The artist will race through 30 dates in North America on his Winter and Spring Tours, beginning next week with a six-night residency at Asheville, N.C.’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena from Feb. 6-16. After this kickoff, Strings will appear in Atlanta, Nashville, Tenn., St. Augustine, Fla., Tampa, Fla., Savannah, Ga., Charlottesville, Ga., Cary, N.C., Grand Rapids, Mich., Rosemont, Ill., Kansas City, Mo., St. Louis and Lexington, Ky.
