The Terrapin Family Band have added a second night to their second-annual Grateful Holiday show next month. The performance will take place at Menlo Park, CA’s Guild Theatre on December 19. The ensemble’s December 20 Grateful Holiday engagement at the same venue, featuring special guest Molly Tuttle has already sold out.

Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz will join The Terrapin Family Band during their newly added December 19 gig. Family Band staples Grahame Lesh, Ross James, Alex Koford and Jason Crosby will form the core of the band both nights, with Lesh and James alternating between guitar and bass.

Lebo was a frequent performed at Terrapin Crossroads during the club’s run. The ALO guitarist also recently celebrated his 50th birthday with a special show at Mill Valley, CA’s Sweetwater Music Hall on Saturday. His band for the evening consisted of ALO bassist Steve Adams, Tea Leaf Green keyboardist Trevor Garrod, Tea Leaf Green drummer Scott Rager and Vicki Randle on vocals and percussion. New Monsoon’s Jeff Miller, saxophonist Cameron Washington, California Honeydrops saxophonist Johnny Bones, saxophonist Johnny Bones and keyboardist Jordan Feinstein all sat in on various points throughout the night. The evening concluded with a fitting selection from the Dead’s repertoire, “U.S. Blues.” 

The ALO guitarist will also join Grahame Lesh’s Midnight North project at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall this evening. Natalie Cressman will also guest.
