The Sway Machinery have confirmed details for their annual holiday celebration. Billed as Branches of Light, the winter-time celebration will take place at New York’s Nublu 151 on Saturday, December 21 from 7-10. In addition to The Sway Machinery, the night will feature The Ebony Hillbillies, who are billed as “the last African-American String Band in America.”

The multi-faith event will take place before the holidays of Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanza converge. Billed as “part rock concert, part theatrical experience,” The Sway Machinery is lead by Jeremiah Lockwood, the musical director and cantorial soloist for the High Holiday services broadcast on Relix‘s YouTube each year. Members of The Sway Machinery also traditionally back Lockwood during the High Holiday program. In other High Holidays news, Yusuke Yamamoto, who played keyboards with Lockwood during the High Holidays this year, joined the reactivated TV on the Radio for their Tiny Desk debut earlier this week.
