The immersive concert film V-U2 is a technological first. It is the initial movie that exclusively utilizes Big Sky, the ultra-high-resolution camera system developed by Sphere Entertainment to optimize the viewing experience inside Sphere. V-U2 presents the U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere residency that extended from September 2023 to March 2024. U2 guitarist The Edge co-directed the film with his wife Morleigh Steinberg and it premiered at the Sphere on September 5 to widespread acclaim. The Las Vegas Review-Journal hailed it as “trippy in the most complimentary context, a trip through time set to U2 classics.” USA Today called it “stunning” in describing how “the soaring beauty of the band’s U2:UV live production was unveiled as a cinematic experience.”

The Sphere has just announced that the V-U2 residency will now extend into February. The venue has added dates from January 2nd through and February 27th, with screenings at either 7:00 pm or 9:30 pm. Last month The Eagles confirmed that their residency at the venue will continue into March, with performances over two weekends, on March 7, 8, 14 and 15.
