John Medeski, Joe Russo and Nels Cline have outlined a pair of New York concerts slated to occur at Brooklyn Bowl on Jan. 10, followed by a night at the newly reopened Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y., on Jan. 11. The newly added shows arrive after the trio took part in a series of Sultan Room shows in Brooklyn, N.Y., during the improvisation series This Is Gonna Be a Blast. The alliance is now gracing larger venues and is set to rock New York’s stages in January 2025.

The news of freshly added shows come after Cline closed his four-night Ars Nova Workshop at Philadelphia’s Solar Myth on Saturday. Nels Cline & Friends featured collaborations from various artists throughout the run, such as pedal steel guitarist Susan Alcorn and drummer and composer Booker Stardrum on Tuesday. Wednesday saw a sold-out show with jazz double bassist John Hébert, guitarist Greg Belisle-Chi, and percussionist Chad Taylor.

Thursday, Oct. 17, featured a duo set with Clines’s wife, multi-instrumentalist Yuka C. Honda. Saturday’s sold-out finale was billed as another duo with fellow Wilco member/drummer Glenn Kotche. At the end of Saturday’s show, Honda and Russo joined Cline and Kotche to wrap up the Solar Myth Residency.

Tickets to Medeski, Russo, and Cline are available now for the group’s Brooklyn Bowl and Bearsville Theater performances.
