Today, Sept. 23, Greensky Bluegrass have officially announced a 2024 New Year’s Eve series. Continuing a longstanding tradition of ringing in the new year with exceptional performances, the genre-leading progressive bluegrass ensemble will take the show to Denver this year for two nights at Mission Ballroom. General on-sale begins Friday, Sept. 27.
Greensky’s 2024 NYE series follows a hometown year-end celebration at The State Theatre in Kalamazoo, Mich. in 2023 and a 2022 performance at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. The band first announced its 2024 pair last week with a short teaser video recorded during its shows at Morrison, Colo.’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which shows Paul Hoffman and Anders Beck looking out from storied outdoor stage to spy the Mission Ballroom in the distance.
Prior to its New Year’s shows, Greensky Bluegrass will make 14 more stops on its fall and winter tour. Highlights among this run include sets at Live Oak, Fla.’s Hulaween on Oct. 27, Asheville, N.C.’s Salvage Station on Nov. 1, Miramar Beach, Fla.’s Avett Moon on Nov. 8, New Orleans’ Tipitina’s on Nov. 12 and the Strings and Sol. getaway to Puerto Morelos, Mexico on Dec. 12-16.
