Grateful Shred have announced its intention to spend Halloween at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl location. The ensemble, known for elongated and jammed-out takes on Grateful Dead material–deep cuts and otherwise, will arrive on Thursday, Oct. 31, for the first of three nights at the combination music venue/ bowling alley location.
After commencing night one, the ensemble, helmed by Dan Horne, will continue exploring the Dead’s archive on Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2. Grateful Shred’s new dates arrive a couple of weeks after they announced plans to perform at Chicago’s Outset location, on Oct. 4 and 5, the concerts which prelude their Brooklyn Bowl stand.
Before Grateful Shred’s aforementioned fall shows, they will participate in a slate of co-bills alongside Horne’s other band, Circles Around the Sun. This tour will focus on West Coast turn-ups, beginning on Sept. 4 at Slo Brew in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and coming to a close on Sept. 15 after traveling up the Pacific Coast and ending things in Bellingham, Wash.
