In the midst of a packed summer tour schedule, Spafford have shared plans for a special New Year’s Eve series in Arizona. On December 30 and 31, the band will return to its home state for two contrasting shows that reflect the band’s development and honor its history, to be staged at the familiar haunts of Phoenix’s Last Exit Live and the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Ariz. These shows will mark the band’s first appearances in The Grand Canyon State since its sets at Gem & Jam Festival in February.
Spafford’s New Years Eve celebration will begin on December 30, when it assumes the spotlight at Last Exit Live in Phoenix. This intimate venue has a storied history with the band, serving as a foundational outlet as it emerged on the scene, and in returning the genre-bending jam quartet will “rekindle the magic of their earlier performances,” per a release. The group will effect this noble reflective end by staging a special acoustic show, contrasting its typical high-production flair.
On December 31, Spafford will ring in the new year with a return to the Marquee Theatre, which will show the band at the full extent of its electrified capabilities. Like Last Exit, the Marquee has been an essential venue to Spafford more recently, and hosted the band for its last home-state headline show on New Year’s Eve in 2022.
Tickets for Spafford’s NYE pair will go on sale this Friday, July 26, at 10 a.m. PT. For more information on the band and its busy 2024 tour schedule, visit spafford.net.
