Umphrey’s McGee have delivered plans for New Year’s Eve. The band intends to perform four total shows, including two nights, December 28 and 29, at Denver’s The Ogden Theatre, followed by December 30 and 31 dates at Boulder Theatre in Boulder, Colo.
The newly added concerts function as a look at the band’s late fall and early winter plans, including sparse appearances after their already-announced August dates, which close after a two-night stand at Salvage Station in Asheville, N.C. (Aug. 30 and 31). After ending the aforementioned Tar Heel State gigs, the band will pick up a festival slot at Las Vegas’ Bender Jamboree and Live Oak, Fla.’s Hulaween, in mid-September.
Outside of full-band experiences, non-UM events will also occur prior to NYE, including Hartliss (Brendan Bayliss feat. Jen Hartswick) at The Livery in Benton Harbor, Mich., and A Musical Sojourn, feat. Joel Cummins.
Historically, Umphrey’s McGee spent New Year’s Eve pasts in Chicago from 2000 through 2010, ending the decade-long tradition by shifting format and moving locations in the years following–and ultimately bringing the occasion back to The Windy City in 2023.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, July 19. For more information, visit the band’s official website.
