In continuation of Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and moe.’s joint tour, the two groups resumed their pre-scheduled path across the Northeast this week, performing at Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem, Pa., on July 10, and the following evening, July 11, at New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17. On both occasions, moe., welcomed Donato to the stage for a single song sit in, cementing their joint prowess for an avid audience. 

The combined summer tour began in early July, featuring initial (July 5) come-together moments between bands, alluding to a trend that picked up on Wednesday with the arrival of their Bethlehem, Pa. concert. During moe.’s stage time, the band played No Doy originator, “Bring You Down,” before a sequence of “Blue Jeans Pizza,” and eventually, “ATL” plus “Jazz Cigarette.” On the other side of the first four numbers, moe.’s invited Donato to add riffs to the seasoned pull, “Waiting for the Punchline.” 

Resuming the impressive concert format, moe.’s frame at The Rooftop at Pier 17 also featured an appearance by Donato, which came to fruition after a cover of Blind Melon’s classic, “No Rain,” taking the form of Headseed-captured “Mexico.” Prior to the latest dates, moe. had welcomed Donato to assist on “Moth” during their July 5 shared date at Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Westport, Conn. Following the concerts above, moe., and Donato’s Cosmic Country will tack on more joint dates, including Wonderland Forest stands and more
