On Saturday, March 2, Dave Matthews Band participated in their Extra Innings Festival appearance in Tempe, Ariz. The aforementioned frame occurred after the group closed out a tour stop on Friday, March 1, at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, where they debuted three numbers, including David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.” Once again, the band added the 1983-released classic and other fresh additions to their festival set and welcomed a special guest, Trey Anastasio Band’s Jennifer Hartswick. 

After warming up on “#41,” Matthews and his band turned to the Bowie number, inciting fan reaction with the addition of the recognizable post-disco classic. Keeping energy high, DMB landed on “Crash into Me,” followed by a nonstop sequence of “So Much to Say,”  “Anyone Seen the Bridge,” and “Too Much.” Following another grouping of originals, the band turned to another newly added number, Billy Preston’s “Will It Go Round in Circles,” a song that also debuted during the band’s Friday night stand in Sin City. 

“Grey Street” preluded Hartswick’s Dave Matthews Band appearance. The trumpeter appeared alongside fellow horn players Rashawn Ross and Jeff Coffin on the jam catalyst, adding blows to the Under the Table and Dreaming originator. Following the sit-in, the band continued previous trends by adding ZZ Top’s “Cheap Sunglasses,” another tune that debuted during Friday’s Las Vegas concert. 

Prior to closing out their festival frame, Matthews and company worked through “You & Me” before adding a sample of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigration Song,” which flowed into a final song pairing of “Funning the Way It Is” and “Ants Marching.”
