Warren Haynes Presents: Christmas Jam has announced their Jam By Day lineup and added special guests participating in this year’s Dec. 9 event at Exploreasheville.com Arena in Asheville, N.C. The folks behind the impending occasion also shared that for those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be offered through Volume.com. Also included in today’s news is information regarding a record signing and merchandise pop-up with Haynes and Gov’t Mule at Records in the RAD.
George Porter Jr., John Medeski, Bill Evans, Mike Barnes, and Greg Morrow have been added to a lineup that already includes Slash & Myles Kennedy, Billy F. Gibbons, Gov’t Mule, Jason Bonham’s LedZeppelin Evening, Clutch, Karina Rykman and American Babies, featuring Tom Hamilton, Jim Hamilton, Joe Russo.
The Jam By Day lineup will happen at a trio of Asheville’s premier music venues, including the Asheville Music Hall, The One Stop at Asheville Music Hall, and Jack of the Wood on Saturday, Dec. 9. Daytime performances can be expected from Empire Strikes Brass, Colby T. Helms, The Snozzberries, Cody Jasper, Red Clay Revival, and others. For the full schedule and lineup, scroll down.
In addition, an exclusive record signing event and merch pop-up is scheduled for Records in the RAD. Haynes, along with his Gov’t Mule bandmates, Matt Abts and Danny Louis, will take part in the Friday, Dec. 8 event from 12:30-2:00 p.m. local time, where they will sign copies of The Benefit Concert Volume 20 (out that day via Evil Teen Records/Mascot Label Group) and their latest albums, Peace…Like A River and Heavy Load Blues.
In tangent with the event, Grateful Bread will host their 11th annual warm clothing drive outside Harrah’s Cherokee Center on Saturday, Dec. 9, accepting new or gently used warm clothing donations. Additionally, BeLoved Asheville will be hosting a toy drive outside of the Pre-Jam at The Orange Peel on Friday night and at both the Asheville Music Hall and Harrah’s Cherokee Center on Saturday seeking new, unwrapped toys for children aged 0-10.
Warren Haynes Presents: Christmas Jam benefits the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and BeLoved Asheville. Over the last 30 years, the event has raised more than $2.8 million for the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, contributing to the construction of over 50 homes and supporting the development of entire Habitat neighborhoods. The addition of BeLoved Asheville as a partner last year further emphasizes the event’s commitment to addressing housing issues in the region.
