Dave Watts with The Motet

The Motet drummer and founder Dave Watts has outlined the details for his annual birthday jam. Watts and his collaborators will celebrate the music of the Isley Brothers at Denver, CO’s Cervantes’ Other Side on January 27. In addition to Watts himself, the evening’s lineup will feature Joey Porter, Garrett Sayers, Adam Smirnoff, DJ Williams, Kim Dawson, Lyle Divinsky and Scott Messersmith. Kory Montgomery Band will open the night 

The Motet will perform next at Fayetteville, AR’s George’s Majestic Lounge on November 29. From there, they will mount a run of shows with Southern Avenue, making stops at Oklahoma City, OK’s Tower Theatre on November 30, Dallas’ Deep Ellum Art Company on December 1, Austin, TX’s  Mohawk on December 2 and Houston’s Last Concert Cafe on December 3. They will then close the year with shows with Too Many Zooz, making appearances at Bend, OR’s Midtown Ballroom on December 28, Portland, OR’s McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on December 29, Eugene, OR’s McDonald Theatre on December 30 and Seattle’s Neptune Theatre on December 31.
