Today, Sept. 26, Warren Haynes announced the return of his annual Christmas Jam. The esteemed musician shared that the charitable holiday gathering will occur on Saturday, December 9, at Exploreasheville.com Arena in Asheville, N.C. The event benefits Asheville’s Habitat for Humanity and BeLoved Asheville.
Through Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam, they’ve raised more than $2.8 million for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and, in the process, constructed more than 50 Habitat homes. In addition to the aforementioned efforts to do good, the group has paid for infrastructure and development costs of entire Habitat neighborhoods.
“Stable housing improves health, educational outcomes, financial stability, and strengthens social connections. By supporting affordable housing, The Christmas Jam helps local families to thrive, instead of survive,” offered Andy Barnett, Chief Executive Officer of Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity.
“For over 30 years, the W&S Foundation has raised funds, mobilized volunteers, and brought awareness to Habitat’s work in an unprecedented way. The Christmas Jam is one of the bedrock partnerships that we celebrate as part of 40 years of building homes, communities and hope,” Barnett concluded.
Past iterations of the Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam have garnered widespread success and featured a talented ensemble of players. The 2022 edition was a sold-out event featuring acts like Phil Lesh & Friends, Tyler Childers, Gov’t Mule, Brothers Osborne, and special guests like Scott Metzger, Katie Jacoby, Mike Barnes and more.
The artist lineup for the 2023 edition of Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam has yet to be revealed. Additional information will be presented before the event.
