Over the weekend, Elton John was hospitalized after falling at his home in Nice, France. The stumble occurred after the celebrated pop musician concluded his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which marked the end of the “Tiny Dancer” singer’s touring career. 

Although the musician’s injuries have not been disclosed, he was treated overnight at the orthopedic department of the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco, near his France home. The musician’s spokesman described his hospitalization as a “precautionary measure,” stating, “Following checkups, he was immediately discharged this morning and is now back at home and in good health.” 

The British musician had been staying at his home in France following the conclusion of his multi-year tour. The aforementioned expansive tour ended on July 8, after John took the stage at Stockholm, Sweden’s Tele2 Arena, where he treated fans to one final run-through of his beloved catalog. Read more.
