Greensky Bluegrass have announced its plans for New Year’s Eve. The group shared that they will perform four shows to celebrate the holiday, all of which will take place in their home state of Michigan, beginning on Thursday, Dec. 28, at Temple Theatre in Saginaw, Mich., with special guest May Erlewine.
Following the first night on stage, the band will turn up in Detroit on Friday, Dec. 29, when they play at The Fillmore. The previously mentioned gigs lead to the band’s arrival at The State Theatre in Kalamazoo, Mich., where they’ll remain for two nights, Dec. 30 and 31.
“Greensky is a Michigan band, and to be back, in Kalamazoo in particular, on New Year’s Eve is not only something I am looking forward to but it’s an honor to return to the band’s hometown and my hometown and welcome a new year where it all began in one of the most beautiful theaters in the country,” remarked Dave Bruzza.
“Not only that but to have the opportunity to perform in Saginaw and Detroit leading up to two nights in Kalamazoo, well that’s just icing on the cake. So looking forward to seeing you this December for a true family reunion,” he concluded.
