The much-anticipated 21st Annual Riverfest Music Festival, hosted by WXRV/92.5 the River, is set to take place at Salisbury Beach, Mass., on Saturday, Aug. 26. Headlining this year’s musical event is the funk sensation ensemble that germinated in the state, Ripe. The free festival, scheduled from Noon to 6 p.m. will also welcome an array of talent that bloomed in Massachusetts.

Joining Ripe on the Broadway Boardwalk stage at Salisbury Beach are a lineup of exceptional artists, including the Ryan Montbleau Band, Air Traffic Controller, and Steve Rondo. Riverfest Music Festival’s lineup promises a dynamic and inclusive festival for music enthusiasts of all ages and will take place rain-or-shine experience. Furthermore, the businesses, restaurants, and arcades along the iconic Broadway Boardwalk will remain open, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Donald St. Sauveur, General Manager for WXRV/92.5 the River, expressed excitement about the partnership with the Salisbury Beach Partnership and the event’s unique charm. “Riverfest at Salisbury Beach is a genuine celebration of local talent, with all the featured bands rooted in our community,” St. Sauveur said. “The Broadway Boardwalk provides an idyllic setting for this free music festival, surrounded by the natural beauty of the waterfront and enhanced by the revitalization efforts led by the Salisbury Beach Partnership.”

Ripe, formed at Berklee College of Music, will bring their sophomore album, Bright Blues, to the beautiful setting, The Ryan Montbleau Band, another Boston-based singer/songwriter ensemble, come equipped with a fresh blend of rock, folk, R&B, Americana, and funk, Air Traffic Controller also carved a name for itself in the Boston music scene. Steve Rondo, the indie-rock songwriter behind the eponymous band, also hails from New England.
