Mike Gordon and his current group wrapped up a two-night run at Chicago’s Thalia Hall last night. The first two-show stand of the Phish bassist’s current outing, the concert featured a few surprises. During Gordon’s first set, he debuted a cover of Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride track “Rich Man.” Soon after, Gordon performed his new original “Moonlight,” from this year’s LP, Flying Games live for the first time.

Gordon is slated to perform at Peach Music Festival this weekend. Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson is also on the bill with his Taper’s Choice project. Before that, Gordon will appear at St, Louis’ Delmar Hall on June 27.
