Vermont-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Mihali has delivered a take on Post Malone’s hit “Circles” from the 2019 album Hollywood’s Bleeding. The stunning cover finds the Twiddle frontman teaming up with Shawn Swain of the Kitchen Dwellers on mandolin and Scott Hannay, from his solo band, on keys.

The song came to be on a day off for Mihali, who stopped by the Bozeman, Mont. studio, owned by the bluegrass-fusion group and hometown favorites Kitchen Dwellers, to record the chosen material. The cover maintains a familiar acoustic groove, striped and paired with Swain’s fluttery mandolin, which fits the essence of the reinterpreted track.

Mihali’s cover of Post Malone’s “Circles” arrives after three well-received concerts put on by the reggae-leaning artist, who recently stopped by Port Chester, N.Y.’s Garcia’s venue on two separate occasions, as well as Williamsburg, N.Y.’s famed Brooklyn Bowl.

The release of “Circles” comes before Mihali’s California Roots Music & Arts Festival debut this coming Memorial Day weekend. From there, the artist will continue with a sprinkling of festival appearances, including slots at Memorial Meltdown in Lake George, N.Y., and more. Visit the artist’s website for additional touring information.
