Acclaimed musician Steven Van Zandt will reconvene the Disciples of Soul for a one-night concert event set to take place at Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, N.J. on April 18.

The event has been dubbed Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul Present Sourcery & Soulfire Live! At the Basie!, and will feature a fifteen-piece band in addition to the bandleader. The performance will showcase arrangements from Van Zandt’s latest LP, Soulfire and Summer of Sorcery, as well as fan favorites plucked from across his career.

The inspiration for the band to reunite came from a suggestion for Van Zandt and the Disciples of Soul to perform as the house band at The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music’s American Music Honors presentation at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre in Monmouth, N.J set for April 15. The ceremony will honor Van Zandt, among others, as a founding member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

This special performance will kick off at the historic Count Basie Center for the Arts shortly after the conclusion of the current leg of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s current tour. “Come on down,” offered Van Zandt via a press release, “and we’ll see what sorcery we can conjure up!”

Tickets for this event go on sale tomorrow, Friday, March 31, at 10 a.m. E.T. Learn more and find tickets here.
