On Oct. 28, The DKNJ Allstars will perform a career-spanning live tribute dubbed A Tom Petty Birthday Celebration at The Cutting Room in New York City. The ensemble will work through Petty’s beloved songbook just days after the Florida natives’ Oct. 20 birthday.

The band is led by Mahwah, N.J. native, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist David Kopec, joined by bassist Adam Roberts, drummer Jay Dittamo, keyboardist and tenor saxophonist David Tarzian, guitarist Michael Jaskwicz and trumpeter and vocalist Teegan Taylor, who will collectively deliver a range of tunes from across Petty’s expansive repertoire.

With over 30 years of experience and countless tours across the Eastern U.S., as well as an impressive lineup of collaborators – including Levon Helm, Jorma Kaukonen, Tom Constanten, Colonel Bruce Hampton, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Commander Cody, Les Paul, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge – Kopec has become a mainstay on along the Atlantic Seaboard.

Tickets for the upcoming event are on sale now and can be purchased via eventbrite.com.
