Oceans Calling Festival has been canceled due to unsafe weather conditions on the festival grounds caused by Hurricane Ian and additional severe meteorological factors. The festival was slated to take place this weekend, on Sept. 30 through Oct 2, but it was ultimately scrapped due to current weather conditions on the Atlantic coast. 

The festival shared an official statement via social media where they stated: “Due to unsafe weather conditions on the Oceans Calling Festival grounds caused by Hurricane Ian and additional severe weather conditions forecasted for the rest of the weekend, we have made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel this weekend’s Oceans Calling Festival.”

They continued, “We hoped for a better outcome and are disappointed to share this news, however, the safety of our fans, artists and staff is our top priority.” Moreover, the folks behind the event added, “For tickets purchased directly through Front Gate Tickets, a full refund will be issued to the original method of payment within 30 days.”

Oceans Falling Festival was initially set to feature performances by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynold, Dirty Heads, the festival hosts O.A.R, Grouplove, Skip Markey, Noah Kahan, Mihali, Cyndi Lauper, Sublime, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and many additional artists– prior to the cancelation.
