Grateful Dead cover band Dark Star Orchestra have plotted a multi-city New Year’s Eve run. The jammers will begin their celebration with two nights at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, on Dec. 28 and 29, before a final pair of performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., on Dec. 30 and 31.

The group’s set of New Year shows comes hot on the heels of Dark Star Orchestra’s 25th-anniversary tour, which commences on Nov. 3 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, followed by 14-stops before wrapping on Nov. 26 at The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y.

After Dark Star Orchestra completes its 2022 schedule, the band will fly to Runaway Bay, Jamaica, for their annual Jam in the Sand destination concert event. The four-day affair is set to begin on Jan. 10, lasting through Jan. 13, with featured performances by Melvin Seals and JGB and Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass.

Tickets for Dark Star Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve run go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. ET.
