On Saturday night, Greensky Bluegrass closed their Red Rocks Amphitheatre run in Morrison, Colo., with plenty of guests who took the stage throughout the two-set performance. The night’s billed addition included Holly Bowling. Also included were surprise guests Dylan Langille and Keith Kinnear, along with members of the night’s opening band, Kitchen Dwellers’ Torrin Daniels, Max Davies and Shawn Swain. The night also saw a debut performance of the band’s new track, “Get Out.”

The Sept. 17 gig got underway with “Past My Prime” before the ensemble worked into 2015’s “Living Over.” Next, the group debuted a new number, “Get Out,” which was played for the first time over during Saturday’s show. Then, they continued with “Into the Rafters” and “Room Without a Roof” before Langille and Kinnear assisted on “Fixin’ to Ruin,” with added woodblock courtesy of the night’s guests. The set persisted with “Stress Dreams,” at which point the venue projected the song’s official music video on their massive screens.

To cap the first set, Greensky Bluegrass worked through “Run or Die,” which included a tease of the James Bond theme song, before the latter ran into a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” The previous song bled into a take on Justin Timberlake’s “ What Goes Around…Comes Around” before returning to “The Chain” to officially end the first frame of music.

After a break, set two began with “Absence of Reason,” which was followed by a pairing of “Broke Mountain Breakdown” with “Demons.” Next, they continued with “Murder of Crows” before members of the Kitchen Dwellers, Daniels, Davies and Swain, stepped out to assist on a cover of Yonder Mountain String Band’s “Keep on Going.” “It’s Not Mine Anymore” landed next before the band dipped into Norton Buffalo’s seminal track “Ain’t No Bread in the Breadbox.” Then, the group ran through “Reverend” before concluding the set on “Worried About the Weather.”

Greensky Bluegrass decided on “Courage for the Road” for the night’s encore. After this weekend’s memorable concerts, the band will take some time off the road before reconvening on Oct. 8 at Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Mass. For upcoming concert information, visit greenskybg.com
