On Sunday, Oct. 2, Commander Cody’s fund to assist aging and struggling musicians, Art, Music & Life Benefit, will host an event at Sony Hall in New York City to raise funds for Arno Hecht, member of the Uptown Horns, and celebrated tenor saxophone player, who was in a severe car accident earlier this year.

Commander Cody’s Art, Music & Life Benefit aims to give back to musical professionals facing ongoing hardships. In doing so, they have selected the recipient of this year’s charity efforts as Arno, who was in an early morning car accident on Feb. 26, which resulted in multiple fractures to his right leg and left foot.

Arno has worked with the likes of The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Ronnie Spector, and countless others, and will be honored by fellow musicians who will take the stage and perform on Oct. 2. Those slated to perform at upcoming benefit include East Coast Airmen, Professor Louie & the Cromatix, Uptown Horns, Steve Forbert, Dave Keyes, Gil Parris, Walker, Emily Duff and more.

Tickets to Commander Cody Art, Music & Life Benefit are on sale now and can be purchased at sonyhall.com.
