This weekend Dave Matthews Band made good on their promise to perform at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla., after they were forced to reschedule a pair of Memorial Day weekend shows back in late May. The shows were canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the band, and frontman Dave Matthews and his ensemble made up for the delay with two nights lush with fan favorites.

Dave Matthews Band kicked off their two-night stint in Flordia with “When the Worlds Ends,” quickly moving into fan favorites like “The Song That Jane Likes,” “Satellite,” “#41” “Grace Is Gone,” “Tripping Billies” and more. The ensemble comprised of Matthews, Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard, Tim Reynolds, Rashawn Ross, Jeff Coffin and Buddy Strong continued with “Walk Around the Moon” before swinging a cover of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” right in the middle of the set. They followed with originals “Lover Lay Down,” “Can’t Stop” and “Lying in the Hands of God.” Next came “Rooftop,” “You & Me,” the set’s penultimate track “Dancing Nancies,” and finally “Grey Street.” They returned with a two-song encore of an appropriate “Pay For What You Get,” which was followed by “Two Step.”

Sunday’s set offered a nice balance to the evening before as Dave Matthews Band played an entirely different setlist from the night before and still just as full of fan favorites. They kicked the evening off with “Granny,” “Fool to Think,” and “That Girl is You.” Next, they got dirty with “Pig,” “Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)” and a shout-out across the Gulf “Louisiana Bayou.” Dave Matthews Band continued dishing out hits like “Crush,” which included a solo intro from Lessard, “The Only Thing” and “Where Are You Going.” After playing “So Right,” they graced the 20,000-person capacity arena with a bust out of “Cry Freedom,” marking the first time the full band has performed the song since Sept. 3, 2016, and the first time Matthews since July 3, 2020. They continued with “Jimi Thing” and kept the energy high through the end of the set, hitting “You Might Die Trying,” “The Ocean and the Butterfly,” “Break Free,” and more. They closed the set with “Ants Marching” and concluded the run with an encore of “Warehouse.”
