Dead & Company have unveiled dates for their annual Playing In The Sand event slated to take place at the AAA Four Diamond Awarded Moon Palace in Cancún, Mexico. The ensemble will make their highly anticipated return to the beloved tropical location on Jan. 14, and will conclude their efforts on Jan. 17.

The forthcoming musical event will feature three nights of performances by the event’s hosts, who have promised a unique and intimate concert experience on the white sand beaches adjacent to the Caribbean Sea.

Moon Palace Cancún allows guests to immerse themselves in a wide variety of luxury accommodations, including all-inclusive gourmet dining and beverage options, 24-hour room service, access to the AWE-Spa, and 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. In addition to a culmination of land and sea activities.

Moreover, the event offers daytime pool parties, curated fun and nightly beachfront concerts. Additionally, guests can add to their South of the Border trip by booking tours of the breathtaking Yucatan Peninsula, where they can step into culturally rich experiences steeped in the history of the native Mayan people.

News of Dead & Company’s forthcoming trek to Mexico stumps the rumor that the band would end their touring efforts after 2022, as initially reported by Rolling Stone in early April. Following the claim by the music magazine, Bobby Weir responded via Twitter, simply stating: “News to me…” See the Tweet below.

Packages for Dead & Company’s all-inclusive destination event go on sale to the public beginning on Friday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. ET, at playinginthesand.com

Previous Playing in the Sand guests will be invited to return to the white sand beaches via Alumni Pre-Sale, which kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. ET.
