Sam Holt, the longtime guitar tech and sub-lead guitarist for Michael Houser in Widespread Panic before Jimmy Herring officially joined the band in 2006, will mark the anniversary of Houser’s passing this month alongside his band on August 10 through 12 at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta.

The run has been dubbed Remembering Mikey 20 and will honor the 20th anniversary of Houser’s passing which occurred on August 10, 2002. Houser passed away following an aggressive battle with pancreatic cancer that claimed his life at the age of 40 years old. 

As the 20th anniversary of the guitarist’s passing approaches, Widespread Panic will also celebrate the life and music of their bandmate and beloved friend on August 10 through 14 at Atlanta’s neighboring The Fox Theatre. Learn more here.
