Today, multi-Grammy Award-winning musician and Kennedy Center Honor recipient Joe Walsh has announced the lineup and on-sale date for the sixth annual VetsAid 2022, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

This year’s iteration of the one-night affair will feature sets from James Gang, comprised of Walsh alongside Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters, with special guest Dave Grohl, who will take their final stand at this year’s charity event. Additionally, Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys and The Breeders have signed on for the late-winter event, which will be hosted for the third time by Drew Carey.

The bill has been centered around The Buckeye State’s vast talent pool, with musical guests and celebrity hailing from the vast regions of the midwest territory. Walsh offered, “It all started in Ohio.” He continued, “Picking up my first guitar as a kid in Columbus set me on a musical journey to Kent State, Cleveland and then the world. Now it is a great privilege and humbling opportunity for me to share the stage once again with my original James Gang buddies and with this absolutely incredible group of Ohio rock legends like Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys, The Breeders and Dave Grohl. I believe in Ohio and look forward to celebrating our musical legacy while honoring our veterans with VetsAid 2022.”

Walsh’s 501(c)3 non-profit veteran organization will use the function as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for returning veterans and soldiers. The cause is near and dear to the musician’s heart, who lost his father at 20 months while stationed on active duty in Okinawa.

All net proceeds for the concert will go directly to veterans’ services charities, which have been selected through the vetting process coordinated in tandem with the Combined Arms Institute. 2022’s iteration plans to disburse grants exclusively to Ohio-based organizations.

For those interested in attending this year’s VetsAid, tickets go on sale to the public beginning on Friday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. E.T., via ticketmaster.com. For more information, visit VetsAid.org.
