Sammy Hagar & The Circle have announced the Sept. 30 debut of their latest studio album, Crazy Times, via UMe on digital formats and CD, followed by the Oct. 28 vinyl release of the forthcoming collection of new music. Coupled with the unveiling of the fresh LP is the delivery of their title track, “Crazy Times,” and its official music video.

Crazy Times was recorded in Nashville, Tenn., at the historic RCA Studio A, with the help of eight-time Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb. The LP sees Hagar joined by an all-star cast of musicians, including Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, Grammy Award-winning drummer Jason Bonham alongside Vic Johnson, guitar master and fellow Grammy Award-winning musician.

Hagar shared some context behind the title track in a press release: “We went to the studio to record in fall 2021 when the world was starting to come out of the pandemic bubble we’d all been living in.” He continued, “The lyrics for ‘Crazy Times’ just came from the freedom we were feeling, the freedom felt unbelievable, but a little uncertain too.”

The frontman added, “Going back to the studio, creating and being with the music is just what felt natural.” Hagar concludes, “And it was just so different from any record we ever made. There was joy in the hard work, catharsis and the camaraderie we craved. It was like those two years of not being able to do very much fell away and we really all came together and let it out in the music and lyrics. We were able to express what we all felt.”
