Disco Biscuits kicked off their annual City Bisco event yesterday, With no Camp Bisco this summer, the trance-fusion pioneers injected the event with a little more of a festival feel, bringing it back to Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts for a two-night celebration. Saturday’s festivities focused on the Disco Biscuits’ jam-rock community, boasting sets from moe. and Tauk while today’s lineup will feature more electronic groups like Bob Moses, LP Giobbi and The New Deal. Though yesterday’s first set was cut short due to technical difficulties, the band managed to get in an extended segue that ran from “Spacebirdmatingcall” into the new track “Another Plan of Attack.”
The Disco Biscuits’ second set was a completely segued sequence, opening with a jam that led into “Crickets” and the debut of the new track “Twisted In The Road.” (The Disco Biscuits have debuted a new song each show this summer.) Then, the ensemble moved into “Digital Buddha,” “Who’s In Charge,” “Tourists (Rocket Ship),” “Cyclone” and the end of “Digital Buddha.”

City Bisco continues today.
