The New York Guitar Festival has announced its artist lineup for the 2022 event, slated to occur at The Green Space in New York City from June 14 through 17. The four-day music extravaganza will feature nightly performances by some of the best and brightest guitarists in the industry.

The first day of the New York Guitar Festival will feature arrangements by Glenn Jones, known for his background in rock and experimental music. Vieux Farka Toure, considered the Hendrix of the Sahara, is also scheduled to play.

Day two will feature dynamic musical performances by Gyan Riley, Bill Frisell and Luke Bergman. The third day of the New York Guitar Festival includes Badi Assad, who will draw on elements of world music, jazz and pop. Vernon Reed named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s top 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, will also perform. The final Thursday player will be former Brian Eno collaborator, Laraaji.

On the festival’s last day, Friday, June 17, Portuguese guitarist Marta Pereira da Costa will take the stage, followed by William Tyler, who is set to present his folk, country and indie roots to the audience.

Following two years of livestreamed concert events, 2022 marks the festival’s in-person return after the global pandemic shifted its presentation to a digital format.
