Jamaican roots reggae singer-songwriter, vocalist, musician and icon Burning Spear will return to New York City for the first time since 2010 with a performance at SummerStage in New York’s beautiful Central Park on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The return to the city–presented by Sony Hall and Dayglo–is part of Burning Spear’s The Fan Appreciation Tour which will see the Grammy Award-winning artist return to the stage for the first time since July 17, 2016, when he performed at Artscape 2016.

Burning Spear spent decades touring extensively, and has several live albums including Burning Spear Live, Live in Paris, Live in South Africa, Live in Vermont, Peace and Love Live, Live at Montreux Jazz Festival and (A)live 1997 but will only make 10-stops as he relights his touring spark before reaching New York. He’ll kick off his tour at The Masonic in San Francisco on July 22 and make stops at cities including Denver, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Deigo and London before he brings his deeply influential sound to SummerStage.

Pre-sale tickets will go live today, Tuesday, May 24 at noon with the code RELIX. General on-sale will go live on Thursday, May 26 at noon. Get your tickets to what is sure to be a historic show here.
