In celebration of the “21st Birthday” of their debut album Oh, Inverted World, The Shins have announced a North American tour. Frontman James Mercer and his band will perform the album in its entirety during their stops along with a rotation of deep cuts and fan favorites.

The tour will kick off at The Warfield in San Francisco on July 12 and run through Sept. 16 where it will conclude at the Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Ore. During the 31-stop tour, The Shins will hit emblematic venues across the country including The Ryman Auditorium, Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and more. They’ll be joined by fellow PDX-based band Joseph at most stops.

“Everything was so tongue-in-cheek in the indie world of the ’90s. I remember feeling a longing for some sort of romance in music again, something earnest, like a real attempt at some emotional language,” said Mercer in a statement. It is notable that Oh, Inverted World was reissued and remastered by Bob Ludwig last year for a 20th-anniversary edition.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on May 20, at 10 a.m. local time. Find tickets here.
