Jon Batiste has postponed his upcoming appearances after testing positive for COVID-19. As a result, the artist’s concert at New York’s legendary Carnegie Hall and appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be delayed.

Prior to contracting the virus, Batiste was set to perform on the Perelman Stage on Saturday, May 7. The show, dubbed American Symphony, will celebrate musical visionaries like Duke Ellington, James Reese Europe, Mahalia Jackson and Nina Simone.

In a statement on Carnegie Hall’s official website, Batiste shared, “I thank all my supporters for their love and understanding. See you all soon!” The rescheduled concert date has not been announced.
