Today, The Black Keys shared the latest single off their anticipated studio album Dropout Boogie, due to release on May 13 via Nonesuch Records. The single titled “It Ain’t Over” is the second track released off the forthcoming project following the lead single “Wild Child.”

“It Ain’t Over” is a mellifluous neo-soul track that developed from drummer Patrick Carney’s drum patterns and loops. The tight percussion of the song remains consistent throughout the track allowing Dan Auerbach’s soulful vocals to shine: “No one else for you to blame/ But when you play that losing game/ It ain’t over/ So try to reason in your mind/ Dreams come true from time to time/ It ain’t over.”

Dropout Boogie marks the blues-rock band’s eleventh studio album and will be released one day before the twentieth anniversary of the group’s first LP The Big Come Up. The project features collaborations with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Sierra Ferrell and Greg Cartwright.

Additionally, The Black Keys will set out on a North American Tour for the first time in three years in support of the album. They’ll be joined on tour by Early James, Ceramic Animal and the Velveteers on select dates. The tour will kick off on July 9 in Las Vegas and conclude in Dallas on Oct. 18.
