On Monday, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, of Best New Artist Grammy nominees Tank and The Bangas, sang the National Anthem alongside the Preservation Hall Jazz Band ahead of the men’s NCAA Tournament final between Kansas and North Carolina at Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans.

The performance featured a jazz-infused take on the American classic, paying homage to the musician’s New Orleans roots with a beat that had a little more funk than the traditional version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The musicians moved to the beat from the first note, grooving with their instruments throughout the two-minute performance. Watch the full video below.
